My bio

AUTOBIOGRAPHY of Sao Nyarnadhaja
(10. 10. 2011 – 12. 10. 2011)
My Family
I was born on a cold weather, Tuesday morning at about eight o’clock, in November 6th, 1973 in Namlam Town (in Hsipaw), in Shan State or Moeng Tai, Myanmar. Firstly, I lived in Namlan Town, Shan State, and I went to school at Primaray School. I lived with my grand-ma, Nai Sarng Kham(passed away in 1989) and my mum, Par Mya Ing (passed away in 2008); my brother, Sai Sarng Nyunt; sister-inlaw, Ei Kyar; my nephew, Sai Htun Kyaw; my nieces; Nang Kam and Nang Kham Sui. I lost my father since I was two-years-old. Hence, I had never called my father like word “Por or U” (in English called “Dad or father”) in my life. When I was born, my brother was fifteen-years old. And when I was about seven-years, my brother had already got married and had two children,Nang Mya Sing (passed a way at her 10 old age), and Nang Kam). By the way, I also had two uncle, Sao Sra Kosalla at Wat Nam Seit Lin in Kyaukme (passed away, 2005) and Sarng Orn (passed away, 2009) who got married to Par Norng. At that time, our family life lived on a compounding Tai tradition medicine or Tai indigenous medicine and sold it. However, it was just a small economic because all the medicine were produced without mechine but only made by hands.

My Life
My name was Ai Sai or Sai Sarm Punt when I was  a child. I started school when I was nine-years-old. And then, I passed three graders at primary school and continued to attend the fourth grade in the Mula Kyorng Long monastery. Afterwards, I bcame Samanera (Novice). And at that time, Sao Sra Saccananda who was the abbot named me “Candadipa”. But I was just a novice in that monastery for a few months. On account of the situation, I unrobed and stayed at home about two months.
After that my grand-ma took me to my uncle who was a monk lived in Wat Nam Seit Lin in Kyaukme and I had entered in the order as a novice there again on Tuesday, in the 17th, May, 1988 and stayed with my uncle. Again, he gave me name as “Nyarnadhaja”. (Here, I would like to explain why this name is different on my passport. At the emigration, they put my name on the passport is Nyarnadaza with their bumese pronounciation. Actually, those who give me this name may be not expert in Pāli. That is because my name on the passport is different from the name that my teacher had given.)
Then a few months, I had been changed to Yan Aung Myin monastery (Burmese monastery) and studied basis Buddhist text there for one year. And I went backed to Wat Nam Seit Lin due to my uncle had been made as an abbot of that monastery by all of devotees. When I was 19-years and 6-months, I had ordering to be a Buddhist monk at Khanta Sima of Wat Nam Seit Lin, at 6: 35 am, on Wednesday, 5th, may, 1993. The devotees who support me to be monk were : Sai Kyaw Aye and Nang Sitawin. (However, after one year I have came a monk, I heard, They divorced. Later I don’t know where they went to live. They also didn’t contact me.)

After that I had to change to Makutarama Temple at 29th, January, 2011 and I am still staying here to this day.
What’ my outlook in the future
The year 2013 or 2014 will be complete my English skill since I graduated from University of Kelaniya and will get highest level at MEC English class or at British council. I think I will go back and will probably be still living in Muse, Shan State. I will be quite comfortable with my living situation, meaning that I will be teach English at Buddhist school in Muse and also will preach Dhamma our devotee on the Sabbath day. I will be busy with working for Buddhist school. In the summer, I will visit to Namlan where my native town and I will be in Kyaukme busy with Tai literature and Buddhist culture class. I think I will do like that forever.

As I said in the beginning, I was born in Namlan Town, Hsipaw, Shan State. However, I haven’t lived there my whole life. I went to stay other place like Kyaukme, Tong Lao and Muse etc according to condition that I have to do. I hope everybody have enjoyed reading my life story as much as I have enjoyed writing it for everybody read. May all you reader be happy, peaceful and successful in your life. Finally, I feel so thankful to my teacher “Patricia” who asked and encouraged me to write my autobiography.
